San Diego may be the second largest city in the state of California, but life here isn’t as hectic as those in cities such as Los Angeles and San Francisco. In fact, life here is much more laid back than its status as a major financial and business center suggests. A city blessed with 70 miles of beaches and a climate that is generally pleasant all year round, San Diego is just about as perfect a getaway as it gets.

But if you want to step back in time and learn something about San Diego’s past, it’s always a pleasure to drop by the many museums located right inside Balboa Park. Incidentally, the same park has an 18-hole golf course where you can tee off as well.
