Six Must-See Los Angeles Attractions

When in Los Angeles, CA the chances of you getting overwhelmed by the sheer number of attractions that the city has to offer are pretty high. There’s just too many things to see and do in LA that choosing which site to visit or what activity to do can become quite difficult.

To help narrow things down, listed here are six LA attractions that should be at the top of your “must-see” list.

1. Hollywood – This is what the city is most famous for, and probably the reason why you’re in the city in first place. Check out this famous district of LA and see the famous Hollywood Sign, Grauman’s Chinese Theater, the Walk of Fame, the Hollywood Bowl and other iconic Hollywood landmarks.

2. Universal Studios Hollywood – Experience movie magic at this famous theme park.

3. Disneyland – OK, not exactly situated in LA, but in the city of Anaheim, 28 miles southeast. But the chance to experience “The happiest place on earth” is worth the drive. Especially if the big city has you feelin’ down :-)

4. Venice Beach – Street performers, tacky shops, funky atmosphere and artists galore. Los Angeles at its finest.

5. The Getty Center – If you’ve got a thing for art, then this is the place to be. The collection of art here is pretty extensive, and the view from here is absolutely spectacular. Definitely a place I consider date-worthy.

6. La Brea Tar Pits - No visit to LA would ever be complete without dropping by this famous cluster of tar pits right in the heart of LA.

Well, I’m off to India tomorrow to do some consulting for an air hostess training firm who I believe has a lot of potential for growth, so I’m excited. Expect that when I return (I’ll be coming back to LA for 3 days before heading home to San Diego) I’ll do a review of some Los Angeles Indian food spots I’ve been to and maybe one more I’ll go to afterwards!

Hollywood is #1 on this list for a reason. it is a must!!! There is so much to do. Not only are there the old Hollywood sights to see but there are newer attractions like the Hollywood and Highland complex. That place alone is a sight to see. It is a huge shopping complex filled with designer stores, a build a bear, tons of places to eat, a million kiosks. The newest addition to this complex is a day spa which is supposed to be the flagship spa of H&H. It is called Spa Luce. I do not know much about it yet except for teh fact that if you get a spa treatment there you can hang out at the Renaissance hotel pool for the rest of the day. Now that is what I call getting the full Hollywood experience :)
